Evenings at Playtime Casino Wasaga Beach

On a winter evening, three schedules meet at Playtime Casino Wasaga Beach: the casino's, the town bus's and the sun's. This page lays them side by side, from the published hours and timetable to a computed sunset.

Doors open at 10 AM daily. Sunday through Thursday, the floor shuts at 2 AM, while on Friday and Saturday closing comes at 4 AM. Because these closing times land after midnight, a Thursday visit runs into the early hours of Friday.

This is one weekly schedule, and the casino publishes no separate winter or summer version. Its pages list no holiday hours and no seasonal closures. A visit on a holiday is checked by phone at 705-422-2520 beforehand.

Last bus, later closing

Route 1 of Wasaga Beach Transit has a stop at the casino. Local buses on both routes keep a 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM day, seven days a week. The casino floor runs later, to 2 AM from Sunday to Thursday and to 4 AM on Friday and Saturday.

For anyone who comes by Route 1, the end of local service at 9 PM marks the last published way back. After 9 PM, no published way back appears in the record. The casino pages do not mention taxi or rideshare pickup or a shuttle, and 705-422-2520 is the number to ask.

The crystal tool beside these notes shows both schedules on one clock. The exact stop at the casino is on the Town's transit map.

Sunset as a number

Sunset on this page is a calculation, not an observation. Computed for the casino's map point with the NOAA solar formula, the sun sets at about 4:40 PM in December, Eastern time. Around June 21 the same formula gives a little after 9 PM. Both figures are approximate.

The tools on this site compute sunset for any date. They read the casino's clock from the browser's time-zone data, America/Toronto, which matches the Eastern time kept in Wasaga Beach.

Saturday nights on the listing

The casino's entertainment page mentions live entertainment on Saturday nights, along with broadcasts of sports games and UFC fights. Names and times are not given in these notes. They appear on the events listing on the casino's own website.

The pub and sports bar at the casino is MATCH Eatery & Public House, offering food and drinks. The casino pages do not post its hours, so ask at 705-422-2520.
